Healthier Lifestyle/Meal Prepping

I am not saying I am healthy but I have made the choice to live a healthier lifestyle. My goal is to tone and to fit into my clothes before I was pregnant. It comes down to that I pretty much want to look the way I did when before I got married…

This was from August 2014

Slowly but surely, I am making progress…I barely drink any soda unless it’s for a special occasion. I know that makes it sound like I have an alcohol addiction. Keep in mind I was drinking soda every day before, it’s amazing how soda can cause so much bloating. Since I stopped I went down a size in my pants and my headaches have decreased. I am starting to become more active as well, I started running again, I need to start doing it a little more though. The cause of me not running as much as I should could be that we have a treadmill in our basement and last time I was running my lovely husband scared the shi* out of me by standing in the doorway, I didn’t see him until I turned around…I was already freaked out by being in the basement at night.

We purchased the Gold's Gym XR 10.9 Power Tower Vertical Knee Raise Features Several Different Stations that I really want to start using but need help from the husband to set it up. I love doing leg lifts which you can do with this tower and so much more!

My diet?...

I have not given up my coffee, I always get coffee from Dunkin Donuts, I am a huge fan of their Cold Brew.

For work, instead of buying lunch everyday I’ve been meal prepping every 2 weeks which has been successful id say.  I found these great containers by Rubbermaid called Take Alongs at Walmart and of course I picked up some Voss water, I love these bottles because you can easily add fruit or veggies inside.

I purchase a bag of lemons and sliced them I usually can get 2 or 3 days from one lemon and to prevent the lemons from going bad I stored them in my Sage Spoonfuls containers and placed them in the freezer to prevent bad lemons!

The first two weeks I made Lemon Pepper chicken with roasted tomatoes, broccoli and brown rice. (not a fan of the tomatoes...)

The other meal I made was hamburger, peppers, onion, corn, with a salsa I made along with brown rice. (This one was my favorite)

For the next two weeks, I’ve made lemon pepper chicken again but with zucchini, carrots, asparagus, peppers and brown rice.

And I also made beef with broccoli, carrots and potatoes.

For dinner, I usually have pasta or something light, I try not to go overboard but I do not really restrict myself for dinner. I do drink a protein drink after working out or if I skip a meal. My favorite so far is EAS Soy Protein Powder, Vanilla, 1.3 Pound I usually do one scoop with 8oz of cold milk in a BlenderBottle Classic Loop Top Shaker Bottle, Clear/Black, 28-Ounce Loop Top (Love the color of this one!)

I am trying to stay motivated and determined because I know I can do this. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me =)

See you in my next post!
